The Company is also currently progressing construction of its Phase IV and Phase V expansions, which are adding capacity between Fox Creek and Namao, and reducing pipeline bottlenecks upstream of Fox Creek. Pembina said it expects both projects to be placed into service in late 2018.Following the completion of Phase IV, the Company will have approximately 1.1 million barrels per day of total capacity for delivery into the Edmonton area market. Several cannabis retail applications clear first hurdles in Northeast BC ahead of

first_imgFORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – A number of applications to set up cannabis retail operations have passed their first test and are now in front of several Peace Region municipal governments ahead of the legalization of recreational cannabis across Canada on Wednesday. As of midnight tonight, all Canadians will officially be allowed to possess and consume cannabis, making this country the second country after Uruguay to legalize sales of cannabis. Citizens of Georgia and South Africa are allowed to cultivate and consume cannabis for personal use after several court rulings, though sales are not allowed.B.C. residents will be able to purchase cannabis online through the B.C. Liquor Distribution Branch at www.bccannabisstores.com, which also operates B.C. Liquor Stores. However, the only legal cannabis retail store that will be operating on Wednesday is the B.C. Cannabis Store location in Kamloops. In Fort St. John, City Council passed a bylaw this summer approving private cannabis retail operations inside the City’s downtown core area, while other similar bylaws have been or are in the process of being enacted in other Peace Region municipalities.Other communities in Northeast B.C. have also already received applications from aspiring entrepreneurs looking to set up a private cannabis retail operation.Anyone looking to set up a cannabis retail location must first submit the application with the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch, which checks to ensure the applicant has no ties to organized crime and meets other criteria. After clearing that first hurdle, applications are forwarded to local governments, who then decide whether they approve of the application. The B.C. Government said that 173 applications for cannabis retail operations have been received, with 62 having been forwarded to local governments.Of those, the City of Dawson Creek has received two applications from the LCRB, while Tumbler Ridge has one application. Chetwynd and the Northern Rockies have both not yet received any applications, while officials with the municipalities of Fort St. John, Hudson’s Hope, and Pouce Coupe were not able to comment. The District of Taylor is not currently allowing cannabis retail operations.last_img read more

Reports Jordan Sibert to transfer to Dayton

Former Ohio State guard Jordan Sibert has decided to transfer to the University of Dayton, according to multiple reports, and the final step in the process appears to be a mere formality. Sibert, who was released from his OSU scholarship April 16, told several outlets that he plans to become a member of the Flyers’ program. Douglas Hauschild, director of media relations for Dayton men’s basketball, said he read the same reports regarding Sibert’s transfer but could not comment, as the player hasn’t signed paperwork with the university. “At any school for any recruit, no one can comment until that recruit has signed with that school,” Hauschild said in an email to The Lantern. “In the case of a transfer, it is a financial aid agreement, since a student-athlete can only sign one letter of intent.” Sibert told the Dayton Daily News that he feels “Flyer Nation believes in him.” “It feels good to be able to be someplace where everyone is excited for you,” Sibert said according to the Dayton Daily News. “Everyone was excited for me at Ohio State. But when your coaches are excited for you, and you feel the love, feel the need for you, it makes you want to do better, makes you want to build upon it. Instead of being like, ‘I’m out here, I’m just another number,’ it feels better that. ‘Hey, these people believe in me.’” Sibert appeared in 24 games during the 2011-12 season for OSU and averaged more than 11 minutes and three points per game while shooting 30 percent from the floor. Sibert also took the court for 25 games during the Buckeyes’ 2010-11 run to the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament, and averaged 2.1 points per game. Sibert’s transfer comes after OSU’s No. 3 overall finish in the 2011-12 season, according to the final ESPN/USA Today coaches poll. OSU posted a 31-8 record and advanced to the Final Four where it lost to Kansas, 64-62, in a National Semifinal match. Sibert did not play in any of the Buckeyes’ five NCAA Tournament games, and is the second player this year to leave the team as forward J.D. Weatherspoon also announced his transfer plans during the off season. read more

We deserved to win – Warnock

first_imgCardiff City manager Neil Warnock says his team deserved all three points at the King Power Stadium as they went home with a 1-0 victory against Leicester City.Cardiff goalkeeper kept his side in the game by saving James Maddison’s 75th penalty, before Camasara Victor sent a rocket shot into the top right corner of Leicester’s goal to give the visitors all three points.“I’m really pleased and I’m proud of the lads because I thought we played some good stuff. I thought we deserved it today, we got the late goal, but I thought we shaded it a bit,” Warnock told Sky Sports.“If we had a little bit more clinical finishing in the last third, I think we could have to put it to bed. But all credit to them, it took a penalty save to keep us in the game.Harry Maguire, Manchester UnitedLiverpool legend Nicol slams Harry Maguire’s Man United form Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Steve Nicol believes Harry Maguire has made some “horrendous mistakes” recently, and has failed to find his best form since joining Manchester United.“I thought it was an iffy penalty, a little bit like Mo Salah’s last week, some would have given it and some wouldn’t, but I thought the right result came out of that. I’m glad that penalty didn’t win the game if I’m honest.“We haven’t had that much luck away. We missed a penalty at West Ham at 0-0 and there were a couple of other games where we could have put a lot of pressure on teams, but we have improved as the season’s gone on.“I can’t tell you how much we’ve improved since August/September time and I think we can get better now, especially with one or two additions in January, I think we can give everybody a good run for their money.”last_img read more

Wolverhamptons form has Pep Guardiola very worried

first_imgWith the upcoming match against Wolverhampton at Etihad Stadium, Pep Guardiola wants his Manchester City players to be wary.Even though it will be a Monday match and we are still a couple of days away from it, it’s inevitable to get excited for the game between Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers from next Monday as Pep Guardiola spoke about it this Friday.During the press conference from this day after the squad’s training session, the Catalan manager had some very strong praise for Nuno Espirito Santo’s boys and demanded the highest focus from all his players. The Citizens cannot afford to lose another match in the Premier League this early in the season, because doing so would mean that Liverpool will have an easier road to the title during the most crucial part of the year.Pep Guardiola knew that winning the game against the Reds last week would only be the beginning of the road for the Citizens, he knows that the match against Wolverhampton is one of the most dangerous ones for them because of how well their rival has been playing this season. This same squad ha already defeated both Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea in the Premier League so far, they are playing spectacular football and they are considered to be English football’s underdogs.Ain’t no Friday like a press conference Friday!Hear from Pep soon 💬#MCIWOL #mancity pic.twitter.com/FZlDG6LPrU— Manchester City (@ManCity) January 11, 2019Maybe they don’t have the fire-power to actually win a trophy this season, but Wolverhampton does have the skill to at least give a few upsets to any squad from the Top 6 as they have already done with two of the biggest London-based clubs. For Pep Guardiola, staying focused now that they have managed to get out of a negative streak will mean everything for them. Most importantly for next Monday, winning against a squad like Wolves should be a great confidence boost.“We realized [how good they were] when we played them in the EFL Cup last season and again early this season,” the former Barcelona boss told a pre-match news conference via Four Four Two.“They are strong physically, good on set pieces, have incredible players on the counter-attack, they don’t just do that with two or three, they have four or five.”“And when you are tired they can bring on two new players to do that.”“They defend deep, they switch play, they control many areas and with [Ruben] Neves and [Joao] Moutinho they can shoot from outside the box.”Harry Maguire, Manchester UnitedLiverpool legend Nicol slams Harry Maguire’s Man United form Andrew Smyth – September 14, 2019 Steve Nicol believes Harry Maguire has made some “horrendous mistakes” recently, and has failed to find his best form since joining Manchester United.“That’s why they are doing incredibly well,” he added.”Es un recién ascendido que lo está haciendo muy bien”.Pep Guardiola sobre nuestro rival del lunes, el @WolvesEspanol. #MCIWOL pic.twitter.com/hyGrQESOyX— Manchester City (@ManCityES) January 11, 2019Wolves are coming into this match with their confidence through the roof, as they just completed one of the major upsets of the season in the FA Cup after eliminating Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool at Molineux Stadium.Just imagining the reaction from everybody if Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad defeated the reigning Premier League champions, is something that people would go nuts over. But Pep Guardiola does have something slightly wrong, Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho are not the only key players that he needs to beware.Mexican striker Raul Jimenez is the most important player in Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad this season, he has proved it by being at the very top of the list in regards to goals and assists throughout this breakthrough Premier League season for his career. If Pep Guardiola isn’t already looking for ways of how to stop him, the Catalan manager has another thing coming his way on Monday at Etihad Stadium. It should be very interesting to see what the Premier League’s dark horse will be able to do against one of the most powerful clubs in the country.PEP 💬 (Wolves are) strong, physical, good at set pieces, strong on the counter attack. When you are tired in the last minutes, they put on new players.
